Wait till your vampire gets home : Bardsley, Michele : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Overall, this was a light and fun read, but the romance was too fast and overwhelmed the suspense and action. In addition, the humor seemed a little bland. Can't remember the title or the author of a book? Our BookSleuth is specially designed for you.

She lives in Texas with her husband , four dogs, two cats, and nine finches. She loves “Supernatural,” chocolate, crocheting hats, and spending time with her husband. Libby Monroe stumbles into Broken Heart while on the hunt for paranormal beings. This has been her life's work having been raised in the atmosphere with her parents. She immediately meets vampires and werewolves and dragons and gets told by Queen Patsy that she will not be allowed to leave Broken Heart, she knows too much. Overall, the book needs a lot of work.

The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 20

The third deligtfully undead novel in New York Times bestselling author Michele Bardsley's Broken Heart series. Not just anyone can visit Broken Heart, Oklahoma, especially since all the single moms—like me, Patsy Donahue—have been turned into vampires. I’m forever forty, but looking younger than my years, thanks to my new lifestyle. And even thought most of my customers have skipped town, I still manage to keep my hair salon up and running because of the lycanthropes prowling around.

This concern was exacerbated by the fact that this lead characters quirk was the use of the phrase "ack!". The book can be read as a stand alone, but is certainly much better if read in series order. When I initially finished this book last night, I had thought it wasn’t all that bad. Of course, there were a few things that had gotten annoying, but the humor and the book’s concept kind of made up for it. However, as the hours went by, I liked it less and less.

I M The Vampire That S Why

It came across as something that was quickly typed up and published in the hopes of making money. Had the author spread it out more and taken the time to convey her characters, this book could have been pretty good. Unfortunately, she ended up with something comparable to Twilight… and god, did I hated that series. Both Libby and Ralph are likeable characters.

I don't eat meat because I'm a good person. If all of this information had been casually introduced, I could have stomached it. However, it's drilled into you over, and over again.

"Wait Till Your Vampire Gets Home" was action packed right from the get go and funny as can be. We are getting to know the charters a little better in each book and new paranormal creatures are showing up. A woman finds out that while it's one thing to date a single father with emotional baggage, it's quite another to date one who’s dead in this Broken Heart novel...

At the cemetery she is watching single father and new vampire Ralph Genessa as he puts flowers on his wife’s grave. It was fun getting to know her and Ralph and meeting up with the other people who live in Broken Hill and are now members of The Consortium. I don't typically dig on paranormal romance, but I do love this series.

The action was a little choppy and jarring in a few places, had trouble keeping track of who was doing what, but a great book. Single mom and hair salon owner Patsy Donahue, still getting acclimated to her new vampire lifestyle, tries to rein in her wild teenage son while trying to deny her attraction to a rogue shape-shifter. I hugged the large oak tree as I tried to catch my breath.

I normally find the "paranormal investigator" thing and annoyance in books at times. But I think she did a good job with it in this one. It was a bit worrisome at first to say the least for me.

BOOKS IN SERIES

Ahhhhh I just loved reading this book. I just fell in love with Libby and Ralph and I was just so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. You'll Understand When You're Dead is Book 12 in the popular, bestselling paranormal Broken Heart series... When vampire Natalie Haltom starts receiving an influx of ghost suitors, she can't seem to escape their amorous attentions. And with a ghost cow chasing her everywhere in town, she's having the worst week ever. Vedere psychic Matthew Dennison has moved to Broken Heart to escape the Vedere legacy and to start a new life as a psychic for the vampire queen. He manages to rescue Natalie from a persistent date-happy spirit by announcing his engagement to the beautiful vampire. It is required reading for every fan of macabre fiction.

However, their almost instant attraction for each other was entirely too fast. Libby seemed very immature and ill prepared as well for someone that has been investigating paranormal activity for years. Ralph’s character, while likeable, didn’t get a chance to shine in this story line. There are characters from earlier books in the series that lend a connectivity and flow as well as a few new ones that provide conflict.
